oops - i feel I have failed you G - I want to see it again anyway - I love the texture and tenor of a campion film. Is anyone else excited about The Road -I am finally seeing it today. Don't normally get so excited about the film of a book I love, but this one has me frothing at the mouth - It looks amazing. I do love a good post apocalyptic tale, am I alone in this, all you wordy passionate romantics, do you like a bit of grit and a few last drops of water.
This has been such a quiet book and film thread - I am finally reading lacuna - Babara Kingsolver - I love frida Kahlo like everybody else, so I was excited that the novel centered around her and Diego in the midst of political upheaval - she can really write that gal.
Sailor is poaching some eggs and making coffe, I do love a lazy start to the day, I am going to sprawl out with the weekend papers now.

feel good, very USA, enjoyable...see Up In The Air...George Clooney and two lovely women unknown to me. Could wait for dvd on this but it is fun.

Saw PRECIOUS (read book when first came out)....do go see it, and if you can still get the book, read the book too.

Read Val McDermid's latest FEVER IN THE BLOOD and Sarah Hall's HOW TO PAINT A DEAD MAN.
